Dr. Jaime Ricardo Ramos Kelly

Dr. Ramos Kelly is one of the most experienced Bariatric Surgeons in Mexico. He has done over 2,500 bariatric surgeries (including the Lap Band surgery, Gastric Bypass procedure, Gastric Sleeve and the Intragastric Balloon treatment, among others).

Dr. Ramos Kelly was born in West Branch, Michigan and served in the U.S. Military before becoming a surgeon.

Dr. Ramos Kelly has completed much of his training in the United States. For example Dr. Kelly finished a Trauma Research Fellowship at Los Angeles County Hospital, the University of Southern California and Healthcare Network, General Hospital, Los Angeles CA in 2003. He also completed a 3 year Transplant Fellowship in 2000 at the Michigan Transplant Institute Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

Dr. Ramos Kelly graduated with honors in 1993 form Universidad Autonoma de Guadalagajara's Medical School. He continued his postgraduate training in General Surgery in the Hospital of Specialties Mexico XXl Century affiliated to the Universidad Autonoma de Mexico UNAM in Mexico City. This allowed Dr. Ramos Kelly to continue his training in Transplant Fellowship at the Michigan Transplant Institute Borgess Medical Center and a Fellowship in Trauma Research at the University of Southern California Healthcare Nerwork General Hospital.
